What is steam boiler ?

A steam boiler is a steam generator producing steam at high pressure by means of heat exchange. The heat source can be from combustion of gas, liquid fuel, biomass or waste heat from any industrial process. The amount of steam produced is dependent on the size of heat source, heating surface of the boiler and the required steam pressure or temperature. The boiler is operated and controlled by qualified operator known as boilerman. Qualified boiler operator or normally known as boilermen/ steam engine drivers are in high demand and earn a comfortable living in many industries.
